The National Parkinson Foundation's second annual Moving Day® San Francisco fundraising walk, is scheduled to return to Justin Herman Plaza across from the historic Ferry Building on Sunday, May 1, 2016.
Moving Day®, A Walk for Parkinson’s, is our chance to come together and win
the battle against Parkinson’s disease. Join us by doing Whatever It Takes To
Beat Parkinson’s®, walking, stretching, dancing, doing yoga, or tai chi
in our signature Movement Pavilions. Together we can raise funds and
awareness while celebrating the importance of movement for us all.
Moving Day® San Francisco will feature a family friendly walk course, a kid’s
area, a refreshments and a Resource Pavilion featuring physicians, organizations,
and vendors who can help you on your journey with PD. In its inaugural
year (2015) Moving Dan San Francisco raised over $230,000 to help
improve the quality of care for people with Parkinson’s disease. Funds
raised at the walk with support free national resources
and programs as well as fund vibrant programs in and around the Bay
Moving Day® San Francisco will take place at Justin Herman Plaza, across from the Ferry
Building in the Embarcadero district
of downtown. Justin Herman Plaza is located behind Hyatt Embarcadero
with the main parking entrance at 2 Clay Street, San Francisco, 94111.
