9:00 am - Festivities kick-off by the stage for all walkers.
The JCCC Golden Girls, DJ Dick Wilson, and our Movement instructors will be
getting the crowd warmed up!
10:00 am - 5K and Family and Parkinson-friendly walk begin (The Family and Parkinson-friendly walk
course is flat and can be done in ½ mile or full mile increments)
10:45 am - Festivities continue with team/participant awards

our friends and family around the cause and to support our gorgeous mom, Dorothy. She has been living
with Parkinson's for over 20 years and we are blessed to live in a
city that has some of the best medical resources and facilities for those who

Moving Day® Kansas City is the National Parkinson Foundation Heartland’s annual fundraising walk/run event. It is a fun and inspiring fundraising event that unites families, friends and communities both large and small in the fight against Parkinson’s disease. This celebration of movement will feature a family friendly walk course, a kids area, a caregivers relaxation tent and a special Movement Pavilion featuring yoga, dance, Tai Chi, Pilates, etc. all proven to help manage the symptoms of PD.
It will be 'A day to move, a day to move others, a day that moves YOU!'
