Six years ago I found out that I had Parkinson’s disease. The thought of having Parkinson’s never even crossed my mind. I thought that I had a pinched nerve or carpel tunnel syndrome that was causing a tremor on my left ring finger. After a 10 minute physical exam the neurologist said that she was prepared to make diagnosis, “ You have Parkinson’s Disease”. Talk about a life changing moment.
I stumbled out of the doctor’s office in a state of shock. My future looked bleak. I had no idea how quickly my symptoms would progress. Would I be able to walk my kids down the aisle at their weddings? How long did I have before I became a burden to my family? Would I be around to see my grandkids?
My wife Amy, and children Zachary, Samantha, and Sydnie realized how I was feeling and knew what they had to do. They showed me the tremendous research being done to find a cure, research that costs money. And that's when I realized how I could help others and myself.
So now I need to ask for your help to raise money for the Journey to find a cure.
Please join my team Jason’s Journey to find a Cure.
