All Things Parkinson's
I can't believe that this is our fifth Moving Day in Cleveland! Thanks to you all for your support, love and friendship over the years. We could not have done it without you.
You probably know that my husband Bill was with diagnosed with Parkinson's almost 11 years now. It's been quite a journey and it continues. We were recently introduced as a couple who volunteered with Moving Day and are "All Things Parkinson's." I started to think about that, and realized how true that statement is for us. There isn't one part of our lives that Parkinson's hasn't touched. It's changed just about everything we do and our plans for the future. It's changed the way we think about our health, our families, our home, our careers and our dreams. Some of it has been hard to accept and some of it suprizingly good. We've met so many wonderful people and made so many nice friends though this disease. But we also realize how many people need help and access to informational and educational programs. We want to make the future better for all those dealing with this disease and their friends and families.
Unfortunately this year we won't be meeting at Wade Oval, but we will still be walking "virtually" on May 9th.
Please consider joining Perdan's Movers and/or sponsoring me by making a donation. Thanks so much for helping Bill and others like him dealing with Parkinson's to live better lives.
Thanks! - Marlene
