Welcome to our Moving Day® Team Page!
In the United States, 50,000-60,000 new cases of Parkinson’s disease (PD) are diagnosed each year, adding to the one million people who currently have PD. As many of you know, my father Frank who is pictured, battled this disease for years before passing in 2007. He never gave up his fight while living in dignity and not wanting to be a burden to those who worked so hard to support him and make him comfortable in his journey. No one should have to face Parkinson’s alone. That is why the Parkinson's Foundation provides a community of support to give people the resources and help they need to live well with Parkinson’s.
Unfortunately, like most events this year, the Moving Day® Twin Cities event has become a Virtual Walk event on May 9th. This pandemic is showing so many of us why health and family are far more important than the gyrations in the stock market, my chosen field.
In these difficult times, I know it is hard to think of anything besides getting through the various lockdown and shelter in place situations we face, not to mention where to find toilet paper! But if you have the means, I hope that you would consider supporting our team for the Parkinson’s Moving Day virtual walk. I am sure you realize the importance of participating in events like this for such an important cause.
