I'm choosing to walk for Parkinson's for my dad Bruce! He was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease young at age 40. He went through Deep Brain Stimulation surgery at age 46. I can see Parkinson's affecting my dad daily, yet he is the strongest man I know. I can't recall hearing one complaint from him for the pain he's in or the struggles he faces daily. He doesn't let Parkinson's slow him down or get his spirits down, which amazes me! Please consider donating to this organization to help find a cure! If you're unable to donate at this time, please share this post! If you'd like to walk with us and join our team please reach out!
Where does my donation go?
Moving day proceeds help bring quality care to more people with Parkinson's, further Parkinson's research, education and outreach initiatives. Moving Day raises awareness of Parkinson's both nationally and in the local community.
Why Move for Moving Day?
Did you know that someone is diagnosed with Parkinson's disease every 9 minutes in the United States? No one should have to face Parkinson's alone. That is why the Parkinson's Foundation provides a community of support to give people the resources and help they need to live well with Parkinson's.
Support our mission to help every person diagnosed with Parkinson's live their best possible life now. Your gift will help us fund better research, better treatment and better lives.
In the United States, 50,000-60,000 new cases of Parkinson's disease (PD) are diagnosed each year, adding to the one million people who currently have PD.
