In the United States, 50,000-60,000 new cases of Parkinson’s disease (PD) are diagnosed each year, adding to the one million people who currently have PD.
Join our team for the local Parkinson’s Foundation Moving Day walk, the first nationwide grassroots campaign that spotlights the disease on a national level and gives the chance to raise awareness and funds in our own community. Your support will help us continue improving the quality of care for those living with Parkinson’s disease.
As many of you know, my Dad was diagnosed 5 years ago with Parkinson's Disease. Shortly after, he found stress had a huge impact on the negative symptoms of Parkinson's and the decision to retire early was made. He has been enjoying his retired life with his family and friends and has seen very little progression with his disease. Learning about Parkinson's and the things that can help ease symptoms has been quite eye opening. I put this team and donation page together to assist with research to continue to find ways to assist those who are diagnosed. Thank you to everyone who has chosen to donate and join us for the walk! My family and I plan on being there around 9-9:30am!
