I am participating in Moving Day® San Francisco, benefiting the National Parkinson Foundation, on Sunday, May 7th, 2017. This will be the third year that my partner Lee and I will participate in this walk.
Although I myself do not have Parkinson's disease I feel very much part of the Parkinson's community.
Never in my life have I met such wonderful people! As a caregiver to my father Irving (starting in 2006) I met and stay in touch with people with Parkinson's and their caregivers. My partner Lee has lived with Parkinson's disease for 30 years and he inspires me every day with his positive attitute!
I want to continue to be part of the fight against this disease. Walking on Moving Day will help raise funds that go directly to classes and services for members of the Parkinson's community here in the Bay Area.
The event, taking place at Justin Herman Plaza, will be a fun-filled, family-friendly event for all ages and abilities. We will be able to enjoy a variety of movement activities yoga, dance, Pilates, Tai Chi, boxing, stretching and much more and celebrate the importance of movement in our lives.
Please consider being a part of my team or sponsoring me, and I encourage you to get your friends, family and coworkers involved.
Thank you for helping me reach my fundraising goal to support the vital work of the National Parkinson Foundation. Any amount would be appreciated.
