Let's Kick Parkinson's Ass.
Please join me at Moving Day® San Jose, to benefit the Parkinson's Foundation!
I was diagnosed with Parkinson's 8 years ago this week, on the cusp of my 42nd birthday. The diagnosis was devastating, to put it mildly. I've since learned to live with it, and I take medication 5-6 times/day to gain use of my right hand.
In 2 weeks I'll turn 50, and I would very much like to NOT be dealing with worsening symptoms when I'm 60 or 70. I would like for my tall, smart, talented, funny, amazing teenage sons to not have to worry about whether they'll suffer too, at a certain age.
I WANT A CURE. As a longtime resident and contributor in Silicon Valley, I have a tendency to believe that technological innovation and the right team of people can solve anything. Please let that thing be Parkinsons.
About Moving Day:
The event will be a fun-filled, family-friendly event for all ages and abilities. We will be able to enjoy a variety of movement activities like yoga, dance, Pilates, Tai Chi, boxing, stretching and much more and celebrate the importance of movement in our lives.
Please consider being a part of my team or sponsoring me, and I encourage you to get your friends, family and coworkers involved.
Thank you for helping me reach my fundraising goal to support the vital work of the Parkinson's Foundation.
