I walk for a cure!
I am participating in Moving Day Chicago - Virtual Walk, benefiting the Parkinson's Foundation.
I walked in this walk for many years. Each and every year we raise money to help find a cure for this disease. We have always participated in the activities and the walk. It is always so much fun, and it makes me so happy that what I am doing is helping people and helping beat this disease. They always have speakers come, a couple of years ago, Jimmy Choi came and talked. He runs the course at American Ninja Warrior. He runs it while fighting PD. He is such an inspiration to me because, many people would have given up after a diagnosis like this. He did not he kept going and fighting. My Grandma and I got a picture with him.
Everyone fighting PD is an inspiration to me because they do not give up. They keep living their best lives. PD is different for everybody, and it effects them and their families in different ways. I walk for a cure! I want to help this disease to not effect other peoples' families.
I walk so one day another little girl's grandma won't have to fight this disease. The day that this disease is gone will be a day of celebration, and it will remind us that all the people who prayed, donated, walked, and fought with their family members, helped fight this and all the sacrifices that we made will be worth it. I believe that the day that this happens will be soon!
No one should have to fight this alone. We are all in this fight together!
