Help me in the fight against Parkinson's disease!
I am participating in Moving Day® Winston-Salem, benefiting the Parkinson's Foundation, on Saturday, April 18, 2020, at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital Davie Medical Center.
As many of you may know, the Parkinson’s foundation is one near and dear to my heart. Last year I took part in my first moving day and I have decided to make it annual. This year in April I will make my way from Wingate, NC to Winston-Salem again to participate in a day dedicated to people affected by Parkinson’s. This is an event where people can learn about different exercises, coping methods and just have fun!
For those of you who don't know, Parkinson's is a neurodegenerative disorder with no known cause or cure. Nearly 1 million people live with Parkinson’s disease in the United States. This is a disease I watched my grandfather struggle with as I grew up. While I was too young to know then, I know now and I am here to make a difference.
These people are looking for hope and a chance to beat their disease. All donations will be given to Parkinson’s research for a cure. I am thankful for all your support!
