Perseverance, Relentless, Unbreakable... These are a few of the words I think of when I think of my fighters. For some of you, you may be wondering,"ummmm, fighters? I thought this had something to do with Parkinsons..." and it does. I've been working with a wonderful group that gives individuals with Parkinson's an outlet to fight back and also builds strength, balance and the foundation needed to face whatever speed bumps are ahead. Now that said, this walk is not about Rock Steady, but it is for my fighters and those that will be facing this challenge in the future. I am participating in this walk in honor of my friends here that have taught me more about being fearless and having each others' back, and in Memory of Christy, who is flying higher than any of her circus stunts could of taken her.
I am participating in Moving Day® Sacramento, benefiting the Parkinson's Foundation.
The event will be a fun-filled, family-friendly event for all ages and abilities. We will be able to enjoy a variety of movement activities like yoga, dance, Pilates, Tai Chi, boxing, stretching and much more and celebrate the importance of movement in our lives.
Please consider being a part of my team ( I promise to add my own personal touch or you could just visit) or sponsoring me and supporting this wonderful cause.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for your consideration. An Extra Thanks for helping me reach my fundraising goal to support the vital work of the Parkinson's Foundation.
Why Move for Moving Day?
Did you know that someone is diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease every 9 minutes in the United States? No one should have to face Parkinson’s alone. That is why the Parkinson's Foundation provides a community of support to give people the resources and help they need to live well with Parkinson’s.
