Moving Day Tampa Bay - Virtual Walk

Team Wolverine

Welcome to our "Team Wolverine" page for Moving Day Tampa Bay!

In the United States, 50,000-60,000 new cases of Parkinson’s disease (PD) are diagnosed each year, adding to the one million people who currently have PD. That includes my father, Dan Smith, who has been battling Parkinson's since 2000. He's still doing very well, and is active with his "Parky" group up in Grand Blanc, MI. He works out a lot, and helps run a boxing class.

Join our team for the local Parkinson’s Foundation Moving Day walk, the first nationwide grassroots campaign that spotlights the disease on a national level and gives the chance to raise awareness and funds in our own community. Your support will help us continue improving the quality of care for those living with Parkinson’s disease.

Due to the Coronavirus shutdown, it'll be a "virtual" walk on May 9 at 1 p.m. But would love for you to join us, and if you feel up for it, please donate to a great cause.

Here's an article I wrote about my dad a few years ago, and his special father-daughter dance at my sister, Lisa's, wedding.

Thank you for supporting us and the vital work of the Parkinson’s Foundation.
