Walk with Wade
Welcome to our Walking With Wade Moving Day® Team Page!
Wade Andrews was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2006. He has been a true warrior and super hero every since. Every day is a struggle with Parkinson's Disease, but Wade faces it with a smile and positive attitude! Just ask him for one of his jokes! :)
In April 2019, Wade had DBS (deep brain stimulation) surgery to help with the many side effects of PD. This year is a HUGE year for us to walk! We're walking to celebrate that!
We're walking not only in support for Wade, but to help bring awareness to the disease and the all the foundation is doing. We're walking to grow awareness and support for research and care.
In the United States, 50,000-60,000 new cases of Parkinson’s disease (PD) are diagnosed each year, adding to the one million people who currently have PD.
Join our Walking with Wade team for the local Parkinson’s Foundation Moving Day walk, the first nationwide grassroots campaign that spotlights the disease on a national level and gives the chance to raise awareness and funds in our own community. Your support will help us continue improving the quality of care for those living with Parkinson’s disease.
