The Atlanta Movers and Shakers
Welcome to the Atlanta Movers and Shakers team page for Moving Day Atlanta. You may know I was diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson’s in October 2017 at the age of 50. My father Bob Hyde was also diagnosed in his fifties. We are among the 1 million people living with Parkinson’s in the United States and 10 million worldwide! As a family we are encouraged by the research being done by the National Parkinson’s Foundation and the many programs they support that make the day to day challenges of living with this disease easier to manage.
I am personally grateful for the team of people who help my Dad and I each day to live well. This includes the Emory Brain Health Center, the Shepherd Center, Lifetime Athletics, Peachtree Neurological Associates, the Atlanta Speech School and the many friends and family who provide untold support. To all of you we are grateful and we love you.
We ask that you join us in supporting Moving Day Atlanta 2019 by walking with us on October 19 in Piedmont Park. We promise many laughs and a celebration of our incredible community of friends and family. If you are able, we ask you to help the Parkinson’s Foundation by making a contribution to our team. Our goal this year is $20,000. We would also love to see 100 people join us at the walk (last year we walked with close to 75).
Thank you from the Browns, Hydes and Masons for your help!
