Welcome to Nicole Shelton's Page!
I am participating in Moving Day® Chicago, benefiting the Parkinson's Foundation Chicago, on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at Soldier Field, South Tailgating Lot.
I'm walking in honor of my dad - Roy Hanson - a fun-loving, bartending, house projects fanatic and one of the best role models a girl could ask for. Diagnosed in November 2016, he's shown his family that he's ready to fight this battle. I couldn't be more proud of the strides he has taken in not only learning how to live with Parkinson's, but also fighting back with every preventative option out there. "God has a plan" is often hard to accept, but He's with us every step of the way. I'm thankful that my dad is doing as well as he is and grateful that he's so present in my life. "A DAD is a son's first HERO and a daughter's first LOVE" - I couldn't have said it better! Proud of you and love you, dad. XOXO
With that said...
This is our 3rd year at Moving Day Chicago - a fun-filled, family-friendly event for all ages and abilities. We will be able to enjoy a variety of movement activities like yoga, dance, Pilates, Tai Chi, boxing, stretching and much more and celebrate the importance of movement in our lives.
Please consider being a part of my team or sponsoring me, and I encourage you to get your friends, family and coworkers involved.
Thank you in advance for your support in helping me reach my fundraising goal to support the vital work of the Parkinson's Foundation!!
Lots of Love - Nicole Shelton
