The Sims Family
As you may all know my father has Parkinson's. This horrible disease has robbed him of doing everything. They littlest things like cutting an apple is a daunting task for him. What you and I think is so simple has made his life so complicated. So many people do not understand fully how it makes you a slave to a body you can not use. My wonderful mother has been an angel to my father. Their undying love and affection that they have for each other keeps them going on everyday! She is the best example of love and compassion that she shows for my father. We all try to push forward and pray that they will find a cure for this horrible disease that so many have! I will be walking in honor of my father Thomas Merchberger that day. and in memory of my grandfather Richard Hublert. Would love to raise as much as I can to help with research for a cure!!! Thank you all for your ongoing support for my whole family. I love you all!

Why Get Involved
The National Parkinson Foundation (NPF) continues to bring help and hope to the estimated one million people in the United States, four to six million worldwide, who are living with Parkinson’s disease. NPF is the only organization with a singular focus on improving the quality of care in Parkinson’s disease. NPF programs reach more than one million people a year through its network of 39 chapters, 43 Centers of Excellence and 900 support groups. Since 1982, NPF has funded more than $172 million in care, research and support services.
Thank you for helping me reach my fundraising goal to support the vital work of the National Parkinson Foundation.
