Day Of Donation

My family and I are participating in the Moving Day Walk, benefiting the National Parkinson Foundation Minnesota on May 4, 2013. Last year our team goal was to raise $100.00 but we exceeded that much to our surprise. This year, we are hoping to raise at least $800.00 and maybe we can even reach $1,000.00.
My father, Ollie was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease approximately 6 o rso years ago and his symptoms have now progressively gotten worse and was recently placed in a nursing home, where he can be better cared for, to include speech & physical therapy. Along with the Parkinson's, he is now dealing with more dementia and this is very hard for him and the family. It's hard to watch what used to be such a vibrant man who took care of everything go down and depend on his family now.
The event will be a fun-filled, family-friendly event for all ages and abilities. We will be able to enjoy a variety of movement activities yoga, dance, Pilates, Tai Chi, stretching and much more and celebrate the importance of movement in our lives.
Please consider being a part of my team or sponsoring me, and I encourage you to get your friends, family and coworkers involved.
