As all of you are aware, I have been involved with the Parkinson Foundation for over 10 years. Next Saturday, June 14th, is Moving Day and I am again walking in memory of my dad, Johnnie Z., who died five years ago from complications of PD, and also, this year I am walking with "Stew's Crew" in honor of my friend, Brian Stewart, who fights his own personal battle with PD at the young age of 52. The funds we raise at this walk are critically important to our small and worthy organization so I am asking if you will either come walk with me next Saturday, and/or sponsor me as a walker by making a donation.
The event will take place at the National World War I Museum at Liberty Memorial and will be a fun-filled, family-friendly event for all ages and abilities.
Why Get Involved
The National Parkinson Foundation (NPF) continues to bring help and hope to the estimated one million people in the United States, four to six million worldwide, who are living with Parkinson’s disease. NPF is the only organization with a singular focus on improving the quality of care in Parkinson’s disease. NPF programs reach more than one million people a year through its network of 39 chapters, 43 Centers of Excellence and 900 support groups. Since 1982, NPF has funded more than $180 million in care, research and support services.
Thank you so much for helping me reach my fundraising goal to support the vital work of the National Parkinson Foundation Heartland. with heartfelt thanks, Janice
