Our team is named in honor of Joan Terry, who started the Hillsborough Parkinson's disease (PD) Support Group over 25 years ago. We are 'Hustlers' because we are determined to keep moving, to support and encourage each other, and to work together with the PD community to help find new and improved treatments.
This year we walk in memory of Charles Worrell (second from left in team photo). Charles was an active and passionate participant in the Hillsborough group and overall PD community. He seemed to keep on smiling, even on the toughest days. We miss Charles.
In the United States, 50,000-60,000 new cases of PD are diagnosed each year, adding to the one million people who currently have PD.
Join our team for the local National Parkinson Foundation (NPF) Moving Day® walk. Help us raise awareness and funds in our own community. Your support will help NPF continue improving the quality of care for those living with Parkinson's disease.
