Welcome to the page of the 2014 Moving Day® NC Triangle team, The Social Justice League!
We are here TO FIGHT FOR THE SOCIAL JUSTICE AND WELFARE OF ALL PEOPLE, including people challenged by the complex, chronic and progressive disease of Parkinson's! In her job at the UNC Movement Disorders Center, our team captain, Jessie Katz, works with folks with PD everyday and is always inspired by how motivated they are to adapt to life with PD.
In the United States, there are more than 1 million people who currently have PD. PD doesn't care about sex, race or sometimes even age. People can live with is for MANY years, so it is important that they have good care, quality resources and a positive & realistic attitude!
Please support The Social Justice League for the walk on November 1st. Your support will help NPF (and Jessie!) continue improving the quality of care for those living with Parkinson's disease in NC and around the country.
