Team Angela is back and participating in the Moving Day Chicago walk, benefiting the National Parkinson Foundation on October 19, 2014.
Angela Tworek, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease back in 2006. PD is a terrible disease that effects about five million people worldwide. The National Parkinson Foundation is the only organization with a singular focus on improving the quality of care in Parkinson’s disease. Their programs reach more than one million people a year through its network of 39 chapters, 43 Centers of Excellence and 900 support groups. Since 1982, NPF has funded more than $180 million in care, research and support services.
The 2014 Moving Day event will take place in Chicago. It will be a fun-filled, family-friendly event for all ages and abilities. There will be a variety of movement activities including yoga, dance, Pilates, Tai Chi, stretching (and much more) to celebrate the importance of movement in our lives.
Team Angela participated last year and it was an amazing day! Angela was able to see that she wasn’t alone in this and learned about different things that could help make this tough battle more bearable. The fundraising journey lifted her spirits as well. EVERY SINGLE donation put a HUGE smile on her face which can be hard to do at times. We want to say THANK YOU to those who were a part of that. It means to world to us!
Please consider sponsoring our team for Moving Day 2014, and we encourage you to get your friends, family and coworkers involved in this very worthy cause. Thank you ALL very much!
