YvetteYeungMDLAPlease join the National Parkinson Foundation (NPF) in welcoming Dr. Yvette Yeung in the role of Walk Chair for Moving Day® Los Angeles!

Dr. Yeung joins the committee after four years of involvement in the Moving Day® event and successful leadership of her team, MovaDopa. She most appreciates the Moving Day® program’s commitment to community engagement and focus on exercise.

Yvette Yeung, MD, is board certified in neurology. She earned her medical degree from New York Medical College in Westchester County, New York, and completed her internship and residency at the Neurology Residency Training Program at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles Medical Center. In addition, she completed a fellowship at the Parkinson's Disease and Movement Disorder Clinic at the USC Keck School of Medicine. Patients say that Dr. Yeung is a good listener, compassionate, and efficient. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, playing tennis, playing the piano, and cooking.

Welcome, Dr. Yeung!

Moving Day® is the Parkinson's Foundation’s annual fundraising walk event. It is a fun and inspiring fundraising event that unites families, friends and communities both large and small in the fight against Parkinson’s disease. This celebration of movement will feature a family friendly walk course, a kids area, a caregivers relaxation tent and a special Movement Pavilion featuring yoga, dance, Tai Chi, Pilates, etc. all proven to help manage the symptoms of PD.

Moving Day proceeds raised from the campaign help to improve the quality of care for people with Parkinson’s disease through research, education and outreach.

Moving Day raises awareness of Parkinson’s both nationally and in the local community. It is 'A day to move, a day to move others, a day that moves YOU!'
