Moving Day NORTH LA Schedule
9:30 am- Registration, Movement Pavilion, DJ- Music,
Kids’ Area and the Resource Pavilion will all open
10:30 am - Opening Ceremonies with Special Guest
Speaker and Warm-up for the walk (Main Stage)
10:45 am - Walk Begins!
11:30 am – Food trucks open
12:00 pm - Closing Ceremonies (Main Stage) including dance
performances, awards and recognitions, and Special Guest Speakers

Moving Day® NORTH LA will take place in Valencia Heritage
Park in Santa Clarita, CA. The event site will be located at 24155 Newhall
Ranch Rd, Santa Clarita, CA 91355. Click

Parking and drop off
Valencia Heritage Park is located at
24155 Newhall Ranch Rd, Santa Clarita, CA 91355.
There are two adjacent parking lots, one
accessed from Newhall Ranch Road, and the other accessed by Fairview Drive (off
McBean Parkway). In the Newhall Ranch Road parking lot, there’s a round-about
beside of the Moving Day® North LA event site, which can be used to drop off
participants before removing your car to find a spot. Where possible, kindly leave spaces closest to the event for disabled
If neither lot has spaces, please park in
the Bridgeport Plaza, which has entrances from Newhall Ranch Road and McBean,
and use the crosswalk at Newhall Ranch and McBean to access the park.
The Moving Day® NORTH LA walk course is a 5K walk along the
Paseo System. See below for a course map. A shorter ½ K walk route will also be
marked on event day.
Moving Day® is the Parkinson's Foundation’s
annual fundraising walk event. It is a fun and inspiring fundraising
event that unites families, friends and communities both large and small
in the fight against Parkinson’s disease. This celebration of movement
will feature a family friendly walk course, a kids area, a caregivers
relaxation tent and a special Movement Pavilion featuring yoga, dance,
Tai Chi, Pilates, etc. all proven to help manage the symptoms of PD.
