WHAT TO BRING:

* Friends, family members, coworkers, and supporters to join you for the event. To expedite the check-in process, make sure to register at www.MovingDayDC.org prior to the event. Day of registration is also available.

Click here to read and print this important document.  The document provides important day of details. We will have directional signage and volunteers leading you to the walk, but it is a good idea to have this information handy as well.

* Any donations that you have received and need to turn into the Parkinson's Foundation. We will have Parkinson's Foundation staff onsite collecting donations at the Registration Tent. Remember - if you raise $100 or more, you will receive a special Moving Day® T-shirt at the event!  All other incentive prizes will be mailed out after the event.
 

* Walking shoes and a smile. Bottled water and fruit will be provided at the event.


* Team Spirit! You and your teammates can make your own team shirts, signs, etc. to show your Moving Day® team spirit!
 
* Moving Day® is rain or shine so please dress appropriately!


WALK ROUTE: There are 1-mile and 3-mile walk routes that begin and end at the Arch. There is something for everyone! Or, you can skip the walk and relax in the Yoga/Meditation area.

DIRECTIONS AND PARKING


The nearest metro station is Smithsonian (Blue and Orange lines). PLEASE BE SURE YOU LEAVE AMPLE TIME FOR PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION. Our site is about a 10-20 minute walk from the Metro. The easiest drop off location is along Independence Ave. Nearest parking areas include: Tidal Basin Parking Lot located on Independence Avenue, Constitution Ave. and the Ronald Reagan Building (access to garage is available via 14th St. (north and south) and 13 ½ Street (off Pennsylvania Ave.) Carpooling and Metro Transit is strongly encouraged. Parking around the National Mall is extremely limited, so it might be easier to get dropped off at the event site. See below.

Moving Day® is the Parkinson's Foundation’s annual fundraising walk event. It is a fun and inspiring fundraising event that unites families, friends and communities both large and small in the fight against Parkinson’s disease. This celebration of movement will feature a family friendly walk course, a kids area, a caregivers relaxation tent and a special Movement Pavilion featuring yoga, dance, Tai Chi, Pilates, etc. all proven to help manage the symptoms of PD.
