I am vicariously participating in the Moving Day Atlanta Walk, benefiting the National Parkinson Foundation on Saturday, November 1st, 2014. (My nephew and niece will represent me there while I'm in New York.) Since being diagnosed with Parkinson's, my mom has been committed to educating others and supporting research about Parkinson's Disease. In honor of her, my sister Emilie has organized a team for the 2014 Moving Day Walk in Atlanta, where she and her family live. I'm asking for a donation of $5-$10 to support the National Parkinson Foundation in honor of our team. In return, I promise that Elliott and Lily will put on an exciting show that day when they walk with my mom on November 1!
Why Get Involved
The National Parkinson Foundation (NPF) continues to bring help and hope to the estimated one million people in the United States, four to six million worldwide, who are living with Parkinson’s disease. NPF is the only organization with a singular focus on improving the quality of care in Parkinson’s disease. NPF programs reach more than one million people a year through its network of 39 chapters, 43 Centers of Excellence and 900 support groups. Since 1982, NPF has funded more than $180 million in care, research and support services.
