Steve & Julie Simek
My dad has always had some quirks. We just never knew why. A month before my little boy (now 5 years old) was born we finally got some answers. One day my mom came across a bit of information on Parkinsons and something just clicked. She started researching and researching... she just knew she'd found out what was wrong with my dad. After just one quick doctor's appointment my dad was diagnosed with Parkinsons. It was scary and yet also a relief! We finally knew what was up. We finally had a place to start.
In the past few years my dad has gotten worse. He is in pain. He has trouble moving. His toes curl. His hands shake. He barely sleeps. He has troubles driving. His job is on the line.
Two days after Moving Day NC my dad will be having brain surgery to help with his Parkinsons. Again... scary! But we have faith that God will help him through this. God's got this!
