I'm participating in the Moving Day Miami walk, benefiting the National Parkinson Foundation October 5th, 2014.
The event will take place in the morning hours at Bayfront Park and will be a fun-filled, family-friendly event for all ages and abilities. We will be able to enjoy a variety of movement activities yoga, dance, Pilates, Tai Chi, stretching and much more prior to the walk and celebrate the importance of movement and exercise.
Please consider being a part of my team or sponsoring me, and I encourage you to share on your FB page and/or email your friends, family and coworkers to get involved by walking and/or donating or better yet, both! Even a simple donation can help our cause to educate more Parkinson's patients and families not only to improve their quality of life, but also how to extend their lives.
What does your donation support?
The National Parkinson Foundation (NPF) continues to bring help and hope to the estimated one million people in the United States, four to six million worldwide, who are living with Parkinson’s disease. NPF is the ONLY organization with a singular focus on improving the quality of care in Parkinson’s disease. NPF programs reach more than one million people a year through its network of 39 chapters, 43 Centers of Excellence and 900 support groups. Personally, I've seen the amazing difference that NPF makes in the lives of Parkinson's patients and care partners. Since 1982, NPF has funded more than $180 million in care, research and support services.
A little bit of help goes a long way. Thank you for helping me reach my fundraising goal to support the vital work of the National Parkinson Foundation.
