I am participating in the Chicago Moving Day Walk, benefiting the National Parkinson Foundation on Oct. 20, 2013. I am walking in honor of my friend Terry Naughton whom I have known since gradeschool days. We were roommates after college and he stood up in our wedding. Not only is he our friend, but in many ways so is the whole Naughton family. We walk for them too and all who have Parkinson's or know someone who does.
The event will take place at the Grove 2 at Lincoln Park and will be a fun-filled, family-friendly event for all ages and abilities. Registration is at 9 AM and the walk begins at 10:30 AM.
Please consider being a part of my team or sponsoring me, and I encourage you to get your friends, family and coworkers involved.
Why Get Involved
The National Parkinson Foundation (NPF) continues to bring help and hope to the estimated one million people in the United States, four to six million worldwide, who are living with Parkinson’s disease. NPF is the only organization with a singular focus on improving the quality of care in Parkinson’s disease. NPF programs reach more than one million people a year through its network of 39 chapters, 43 Centers of Excellence and 900 support groups. Since 1982, NPF has funded more than $164 million in care, research and support services.
Thank you for helping me reach and exceed my fundraising goal to support the vital work of the National Parkinson Foundation
