Dear Family & Friends,
I am participating in the Chicago Moving Day Walk, benefiting the National Parkinson Foundation on Sunday, October 20, 2013. The event will take place at the Grove 2 at Lincoln Park and will be a fun-filled, family-friendly event for all ages and abilities. We will be able to enjoy a variety of movement activities yoga, dance, Pilates, Tai Chi, stretching and much more and celebrate the importance of movement in our lives.
Why Get Involved
The National Parkinson Foundation (NPF) continues to bring help and hope to the estimated one million people in the United States, four to six million worldwide, who are living with Parkinson’s disease. NPF is the only organization with a singular focus on improving the quality of care in Parkinson’s disease. NPF programs reach more than one million people a year through its network of 39 chapters, 43 Centers of Excellence and 900 support groups. Since 1982, NPF has funded more than $164 million in care, research and support services.
Last year was so successful for our 'Moving for Mom' team that we couldn't help but get more involved this year. Haley, Wes and I are active on the Moving Day Chicago Committee and have put a lot of effort into making Moving Day Chicago 2013 a great success. This cause is very important to our family and we hope you will join in the fun and walk with us again this year.
As we get closer to the date we will let you know about our meeting spot prior to the walk so we can gather our team 'Moving for Mom'. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to any of us and we would be happy to help. Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday, October 20!
