I am the new Chair of the National Parkinson Foundation and both of my parents have PD. "Team Kozyak" was the leading fundraiser and had the most, diverse group of walkers during the first Miami Moving Day Walk and really improved last year when Janet Reno, a long time friend and the former United State Attorney General, agreed that she and her family would join us and we changed the name to "Team Kozyak & Reno".
The event will take place at Bayfront Park on Sunday, October 5th in the morning and will be a fun-filled, family-friendly event for all ages and abilities. We will be able to enjoy a variety of movement activities yoga, dance, Pilates, Tai Chi, stretching and much more and celebrate the importance of movement in our lives. I expect "Team Kozyak & Reno" will have a tent where we will serve bagels and orange juice before and after the walk. Team members who register by September 1st will receive a Team Kozyak & Reno t-shirt.
Please consider being a part of my team or sponsoring me, and I encourage you to get your friends, family and coworkers involved. I'd love to have hundreds of people, including young kids, to walk with us on October 5th. People with wheelchairs or children in strollers are most welcome. Dogs on leashes are also allowed. Regardless of your physical condition, please come out for a short or long walk around beautiful Bayfront Park. The NPF is doing some amazing work and I really do want your support. I am trying to raise money, but no contribution is too small and I'd like for you to come out and walk even if you can not contribute. Call me on my cell (305) 205 4427 if you have any questions.
Thank you for helping me reach my fundraising goal to support the vital work of the National Parkinson Foundation. I want to be the biggest fundraiser in the country and have some very serious competition in Chicago.
