"I know the LORD is always with me. I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me." Psalm 16:8NLT
Every day I look around me and see how truly blessed I am ! Three beautiful kids, a loving and supportive husband, fabulous, faithful family & friends, and let's not forget four furry creatures that keep life interesting. Parkinson's is NOT who I am. It will never define me, it will never control me, and it will NOT shake me. Even when my hands are shaking and it's a struggle just to write my name, I will not let Parkinson's take my joy. That is why I am walking on Moving Day; to remind myself that life is good, and I'm still moving.
The Moving Day NC Triangle Walk, benefiting the National Parkinson Foundation is on November 2, 2013. The event will take place at Koka Booth Amphitheatre (Cary, NC) and will be a fun-filled, family-friendly event for all ages and abilities. We will be able to enjoy a variety of movement activities yoga, dance, Pilates, Tai Chi, stretching and much more and celebrate the importance of movement in our lives.
I hope that you will join team "Unshaken" - come out and walk with us, make a donation, and just enjoy a morning making a difference !
