Ever since my husband began working for the National Parkinson Foundation (NPF) I have become aware of the need not only to find a cure, but to help the people who live with this disease right now. Although I do not have a direct personal connection to Parkinson's disease it seems that everywhere I turn there are families struggling to maintain a quality of life that so many of us take for granted.
So, to help bring more awareness to this crippling disease, I am once again taking part in Moving Day Miami, a walk for Parkinson's at Bayfront Park on October 6th, 2013. Please help support Parkinson's by sponsoring me, participating or just coming to be part of the fun!
Let's spread awareness! Let's MOVE!

Why Get Involved
The National Parkinson Foundation (NPF) continues to bring help and hope to the estimated one million people in the United States, four to six million worldwide, who are living with Parkinson's disease. NPF is the only organization with a singular focus on improving the quality of care in Parkinson's disease. NPF programs reach more than one million people a year through its network of 39 chapters, 43 Centers of Excellence and 900 support groups. Since 1982, NPF has funded more than $172 million in care, research and support services.
Thank you for helping me reach my fundraising goal to support the vital work of the National Parkinson Foundation.
