Hello, Friends! Thank you for stopping by my page.
I am participating in Moving Day Chicago, a walk to benefit the National Parkinson Foundation. This walk takes place on October 20, 2013.
I am fundraising in honor of my boyfriend's mother, Marilyn, who has a warm spirit, a welcoming heart, and a great sense of humor. Marilyn has Parkinson's Disease, which is a progressive disorder of the nervous system that affects movement.
The National Parkinson Foundation (NPF) continues to bring help and hope to the estimated one million people in the United States, four to six million worldwide, who are living with Parkinson’s disease. NPF is the only organization with a singular focus on improving the quality of care in Parkinson’s disease. Since 1982, NPF has funded more than $172 million in care, research and support services.
There is no cure for Parkinson's, and the symptoms can be debilitating. Your donation will help fund research and a cure for Marilyn and those similarly situated. Such others include: Michael J. Fox, Billy Graham, Muhammad Ali, and Pope John Paul II.
My grandpa has always said that if you have your health, you have everything. And if you have everything, then there is plenty to give. In that spirit, I hope you will consider donating today. Thank you!
