***We want to thank the 2,500+ participants and amazing supporters of Moving Day® Chicago who have helped beat our goal and raise over $425,000 to beat PD with us at Lincoln Park! The money you helped to raise will have a profound impact on the lives of people with Parkinson's, and we are excited to continue in our efforts for improving the lives of everyone in our community. Thank you for showing us how “People Who Move Change The World®”!***
Moving Day® Chicago is the National Parkinson Foundation’s annual fundraising walk event. It is a fun and inspiring fundraising event that unites families, friends and communities both large and small in the fight against Parkinson’s disease. This celebration of movement will feature a family friendly walk course, a kids area, a refreshment tent and a special Movement Pavilion featuring exercise proven to help manage the symptoms of PD.

NPF Center of Excellence
Moving Day® Chicago would like to thank our local Center of Excellence (COE), Northwestern’s Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders Center for their support.
Moving Day® partners with their local Centers of Excellence to help spread the word in their communities. By inviting NPF staff to attend COE support groups and programs, we are able to reach a larger group of patients and caregivers to share Moving Day information as well as NPF resources.

The COE’s also help to promote Moving Day by including information in their patient rooms and newsletters and by sending out an annual letter to each family promoting their involvement. Additionally, the COE will have an onsite presence at Moving Day events to welcome their patients and share their latest research and other information.Visit the Northwestern University team page!
It will be 'A day to move, a day to move others, a day that moves YOU!'
This year I would like The Martini Shakers to accomplish
something very unique. Something no other team has ever done. Something that
says more about peoples love for each other than just through dollars. I would
like to show that a cause, can connect people. And through those connections
ANYTHING is possible.
