I am participating in the National Parkinson Foundation Greater Rochester Moving Day: A Walk for Parkinson's. This event will take place on Sunday, September 15th, 2013 at the Monroe Community College, Brighton Campus. The Walk will be a celebration of movement, with a special Movement Pavilion featuring yoga, dance and much more. As most of you know my Mother has Parkinson's and lives everyday courageously and with unflappable optimism. She is my personal inspiration and hero.
It will be a fun-filled, family-friendly event for all ages and abilities and will help raise money for the National Parkinson Foundation Greater Rochester Chapter.
With your support we can help the foundation's mission to improve the quality of care for people with Parkinson's disease through research, education and outreach. I know you understand the importance of an event that raises money for such an important cause.
No matter what you can afford, every dollar counts! So please make a donation on my behalf. Alternatively, if you would prefer, you can join my team or register as an individual.
Thank you so much for all of your support, and I look forward to seeing you at Moving Day Rochester, NY on September 15th, 2013.
Why Get Involved
The National Parkinson Foundation (NPF) continues to bring help and hope to the estimated one million people in the United States, four to six million worldwide, who are living with Parkinson’s disease. NPF is the only organization with a singular focus on improving the quality of care in Parkinson’s disease. NPF programs reach more than one million people a year through its network of 39 chapters, 43 Centers of Excellence and 900 support groups. Since 1982, NPF has funded more than $172 million in care, research and support services.
Thank you for helping me reach my fundraising goal to support the vital work of the National Parkinson Foundation.
