I am participating in the Moving Day Columbus walk, benefiting the National Parkinson Foundation Central & Southeast Ohio Chapter on September 28th, 2014.
I am walking to honor my friend, Bill Perdan, who is bravely facing Parkinson's and actively working to search for answers while fighting his symptoms, and his wife and my friend, Marlene, who lovingly supports him in this effort. I am honored to be a member of their team.
The event will take place at The Columbus Crew Stadium and will be a fun-filled, family-friendly event for all ages and abilities. We will enjoy a variety of movement activities such as yoga, dance, Pilates, Tai Chi, stretching and more to celebrate the importance of movement in our lives. Please consider being a part of the team or sponsoring me.
"Movement is a vital celebration of life. It is a way to proclaim your own existence and relish in the joy of being alive."
Why Get Involved
The National Parkinson Foundation (NPF) continues to bring help and hope to the estimated one million people in the United States, four to six million worldwide, who are living with Parkinson’s disease. NPF is the only organization with a singular focus on improving the quality of care in Parkinson’s disease. NPF programs reach more than one million people a year through its network of 39 chapters, 43 Centers of Excellence and 900 support groups.
Thank you for helping me reach my fundraising goal to support the vital work of the National Parkinson Foundation.
