We participate in the Moving Day Walk, benefiting the National Parkinson Foundation Central & Southeast Ohio, every single year! My sisters and I do this with our families, in honor of Grandpa Ron who passed away in the summer of 2012 due to Parkinson's.
Year 1: Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012 - with my family, the Morton's and the Miller's
Year 2: Sunday, Sept. 29, 2013 - with my family, the Morton's and the Miller's
The event takes place at the Columbus Crew Stadium and is a fun-filled, family-friendly event for all ages and abilities. We enjoy a variety of movement activities yoga, dance, Pilates, Tai Chi, stretching and much more and celebrate the importance of movement in our lives all while memorializing Grandpa Ron.
Please consider being a part of our team by joinging us some year or sponsoring us. All donations will be in Grandpa Ron's memory and will fund Parkinson's care, research and support services.
Why Get Involved
The National Parkinson Foundation (NPF) continues to bring help and hope to the estimated one million people in the United States, four to six million worldwide, who are living with Parkinson’s disease. NPF is the only organization with a singular focus on improving the quality of care in Parkinson’s disease. NPF programs reach more than one million people a year through its network of 39 chapters, 43 Centers of Excellence and 900 support groups. Since 1982, NPF has funded more than $164 million in care, research and support services.
Thank you for helping me reach my goal of remembering Grandpa Ron and to fund & support the vital work of the National Parkinson Foundation!
