Hello on this beautiful day! As some of you may know, I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease this past summer, after a couple years of confusing symptoms that we could not put together. Although not what I wanted to hear, we now have something to fight.
I am doing pretty good thus far and hope for an active and long life ahead, beginning with learning the importance of exercise and a positive attitude. In that mindset, Ron and I will have our first opportunity to participate in helping to raise funds for a cure to this difficult progressive disease and I hope you will join us in whatever way you can.
Ron and I, along with my kids and grandkids, are participating in Moving Day® Nashville , benefiting the National Parkinson Foundation, on Saturday, June 3, 2017, at Edwin Warner Park. The event will be a fun-filled, family-friendly event for all ages and abilities. We will be able to enjoy a variety of movement activities yoga, dance, Pilates, Tai Chi, boxing, stretching and much more and celebrate the importance of movement in our lives. I hope you will consider being a part of my team or sponsoring me as I walk with my family. Perhaps you have a family member who also suffers from PD that you would like to donate in their name. We welcome those as well.
We also covet your prayers as we begin this life journey.
Thank you for helping me reach my fundraising goal to support the vital work of the National Parkinson Foundation.
