I am participating in Moving Day® Nashville , benefiting the National Parkinson Foundation, on Sunday, June 3, 2017, at Edwin Warner Park.
The event will be a fun-filled, family-friendly event for all ages and abilities. We will be able to enjoy a variety of movement activities yoga, dance, Pilates, Tai Chi, boxing, stretching and much more and celebrate the importance of movement in our lives.
Please consider being a part of my team or sponsoring me, and I encourage you to get your friends, family and coworkers involved.
Dear Friends and Family,
I am raising money for my father's Boxing Class for Parkinson's Disease. Upon research, I learned that this is the ONLY exercise to help a PD victim to improve walking and motor skills as well as voice volume. My wonderful dad, Pat Yokom, used to be a man who exercised at a health club every day, water skied till age 60, fished, and climbed trees to deer hunt as well as carry his grandchildren on his shoulders in his back yard. It greatly saddens me to see him in this condition so I am asking you to donate a little money to my walk. ALL the money goes to his special class equipment and new facility here in Nashville. He is now able to get out of his wheel chair with stability from exercises performed in this class. The fellowship is uplifting as well among others with this same debilitating disease!
For A Life,
Missy Yokom Koehn
