First off, thank you for visiting my page!
In honor of my dad, Roy, I am participating in Moving Day® Chicago, benefiting the National Parkinson Foundation on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at Lincoln Park, South Fields. Roy was diagnosed in November 2016 and is all too young to be starting a journey with PD. Moving Day® is a walk to promote awareness for Parkinsons and raise money towards a cure, with a theme that perfectly represents the best medicine for Parkinsons patients - MOVING! Thankfully, my dad's hobbies RARELY involve sitting still - snow skiing, water skiing, hiking, fixing cars... fixing ANYTHING for that matter... home renovations, boating, you name it. He is also a big James Bond 007 fan and loves being the family bartender (hence our team name). I am by far a daddy's girl... he's a fighter and I will fight along beside him!
In honor of my dad, please consider being a part of my team or sponsoring me for the Moving Day® Chicago walk. I encourage you to invite your friends, family, and coworkers to get involved.
Thank you in advance for helping the Shakin' Not Stirred team and I reach our fundraising goals to support the VITAL work of the National Parkinson Foundation.
Lots of Love - Nicole Shelton
Moving Day® Chicago will be a fun-filled, family-friendly event for all ages and abilities. We will be able to enjoy a variety of movement activities yoga, dance, Pilates, Tai Chi, boxing, stretching and much more and celebrate the importance of movement in our lives.
