I am participating in Moving Day® Tampa Bay, benefiting the National Parkinson Foundation, on Saturday, April 1st, 2017, at the University of South Florida.
these are my words, not the event's
The Parkinson Foundation has joined with the Michael J Fox group to form a larger more inclusive group spreading the news of hope and new ways to fight Parkinsons. This is a progressive disease but personally I have found the information and classes that these organizations offer have helped me tremendously and I want others to learn they can take back their lives and live fully too. I have met people with Parkinsons who just want to give in to this disease and wait as it takes over their lives. I have also met those who are fighting back by exercise, information and the positive attitude that we share. It's called moving day because Parkinson's slows us down and makes us immobile. Please come and learn more about the wonderful people who are helping, the wonderful patients who won't give up and the organizations who are moving us forward.
The event will be a fun-filled, family-friendly event for all ages and abilities. We will be able to enjoy a variety of movement activities yoga, dance, Pilates, Tai Chi, boxing, stretching and much more and celebrate the importance of movement in our lives.
Please consider being a part of my team or sponsoring me, and I would love to have you come and walk with me and my team--Rock Steady Boxing Tampa Bay.
