I am participating in the Moving Day® Tampa Bay walk again this year, benefiting the National Parkinson Foundation, on April 1, 2017, at the University of South Florida.
Why I Got Involved
I was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease almost 5 years ago,
If you were to meet me, you would never know the struggles that I face every day.
I struggle with getting out of bed in the morning and being very stiff, I lost my voice and had to learn how to speak again, my voice is still low and people struggle to understand, and I had to learn how to write again because of this disease. I fight this insidious, humiliating, and frustrating disease through awareness, research and MOVEMENT.
I celebrate life by enjoying my growing family of 4 beautiful grandchildren, my son, Michael, and my lovely daughter-in-law, Ashley. And, of course, my Tom, who makes my life easier each and every day.
I hope with your help, I will be able to enjoy all things in life for many years to come.

PLEASE consider making a donation! No donation is too small, every dollar counts!
The National Parkinson Foundation (NPF) continues to bring help and hope to the estimated one million people in the US, 4 to 6 million worldwide, who are living with Parkinson. On the local level Moving Day Tampa helps to fund programs such as Pedaling for Parkinson’s and Rock Steady Boxing. Both of these programs I am involved with every week so your donations directly impact my fight against Parkinson’s .
Thank you for supporting my efforts and the hard work of the National Parkinson Foundation.
