I am participating in Moving Day® San Francisco, benefiting the National Parkinson Foundation, on Sunday, May 7th, 2017. I went last year as a spectator and enjoyed a variety of movement activities including yoga, dance, Pilates, Tai Chi, boxing, stretching and so on. This year my local PD group Parkinson's Disease San Francisco Network PDSF decided to form a team called "dopamine warriors", a phrase I once saw as graffiti on a wall in Spain
I know that there are many worthy causes and we all have our individual priorities and limited resources to bring to bear. PD caught my attention when my Dad was diagnosed the incurable condition, and when I came down with it, I began my own process of dealing with the various symtoms associated with Parkison's. And part of the process is organizing, first locally, and now nationally via the National Parkinson's Foundation.
Please register to join my team, or support our team goal with a donation so we can #FightPD! Your help allows NPF to strive forward with its mission. Our team needs people like you. People who understand the importance of participating in an event that raises money for such an important cause.
