Evelyn lived with Parkinson's Disease (PD) for more than 30 years. She was diagnosed in 1982, just before her 50th birthday. For the first 10 years, medicines effectively masked the debilitating effects of this disease. By her 60th birthday the effects of PD were beginning to appear and by her 70th birthday even routine tasks were made difficult if not impossible. Evelyn never complained. I cannot remember her once saying, "I wish I didn't have this disease". For 30 years, until her death in 2012, she fought PD every single day. Even though her body finally gave way, she never let PD beat her. Please help us find a cure for PD. Please help us ensure PD's effects are silenced forever.
