There is no registration fee and participants who raise at least $100 will receive a Moving Day T-shirt. Individuals who raise $250 or more are eligible for fabulous incentive prizes.
We were so pleased that our inaugural Moving Day raised $63,000 this past October to help people with Parkinson's! It was an incredible day and we were thrilled to see the swell of support from the community as we welcomed more than 750 people to Mason Park in Irvine. The committee is already hard at work to make this October's event even better!
The National Parkinson Foundation’s Moving Day® is the National Parkinson Foundation Orange County California Chapter’s new annual fundraising walk event.
Moving Day®
raises awareness of Parkinson’s both nationally and in the Orange
County community. Proceeds raised from the campaign go to support local
services for people
living with the disease and research leading to better treatments.
With Katie Couric as our national
honorary chair, Moving Day® is the first grassroots campaign to
spotlight Parkinson’s disease awareness on a national level. Studies
show that movement is
proven to help manage the symptoms of Parkinson’s, improving flexibility and mobility.
Moving Day® Orange County, CA is so much more than a fundraising walk,
it is a celebration of movement with a special Movement Pavilion
featuring opportunities for you to try activities such as yoga, dance,
Tai Chi, and much more.

The National Parkinson Foundation Orange County, CA, Chapter’s primary purpose is to serve the community of Orange County and beyond through education, awareness, care, and support. This goal is accomplished through local support groups, exercise and singing classes, and an annual education symposium. Our second goal is to provide resources through fundraising endeavors that will contribute to the research effort to find a cure for Parkinson's disease.
