– Having joined us last year as an attendee, we are pleased to announce that the Honorable
Janet Reno will be serving as Honorary Chair for Moving Day Miami 2013! –
There is no registration fee and participants who raise at least $100 will receive a Moving Day T-shirt. Individuals who raise $250 or more are eligible for fabulous incentive prizes.
Moving Day® is the National Parkinson Foundation's annual fundraising walk event. It is a day of joining together and raising awareness of Parkinson’s disease. In addition to a fundraising walk, it is a celebration of movement, with a special Movement Pavilion featuring yoga, dance and much more.
At our inaugural event more than 1,000 participants, which included people with Parkinson’s, families, friends, healthcare professionals, corporate leaders and corporate teams, joined together to raise funds in support of the Foundation’s mission.The event was a a huge success, raising over $150,000 and helping increase awareness about Parkinson's disease.
This year's event, on October 6th, 2013, will once again take place at Bayfront Park and the committee is hard at work to make this event even better!

NPF South Florida is part of the strong National Parkinson Foundation community across the United States.
