There is no registration fee and participants who raise at least $100 will receive a Moving Day T-shirt. Individuals who raise $250 or more are eligible for fabulous incentive prizes.
Moving Day®, our annual fundraising Walk event, is a collaborative effort of the National Parkinson Foundation (NPF) and the National Parkinson Foundation South Palm County Beach Chapter. This event is a day of joining together and raising awareness of Parkinson’s disease. At our inaugeral Moving Day last Fall we raised $77,000 to help people with Parkinson's. Over 250 participants, including people with Parkinson’s disease, family, friends,co-workers, healthcare providers, corporate leaders and corporate teams, joined together to exercise while raising funds in support of the Foundation’s mission. It was an incredible day and we were thrilled to see the swell of support from the community.
In addition to a fundraising walk, this is a celebration of movement, with a special Movement Pavilion featuring various types of exercise including yoga, dance, and much more. The pavilion will be open when registration begins, through the end of the walk. For those who prefer not to walk, there will plenty of wonderful activities, entertainment and information to enjoy.
Registration for Moving Day Boca Raton 2013 is now open and the committee is hard at work to make this year's event even better!
